This assignment has introduced me to the world of blogging. It feels good to participate in the 21st- century, and get on board the technology wave. This may be very useful in the classroom, especially for the upper grades. I'm happy to be here.

I hope you enjoy this page as a resource for FNMI projects and learning. As someone who has lived in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. , and because I am a Native American Studies major at the University of Lethbridge, I wanted to present the big picture of First Nations, Metis and Inuit in Canada.

I'm finding that for me (one of the older generation) technology takes time to learn and to use. But I also see how it is worth the time invested. Using blogging in the classroom could enhance the lessons, teach writing skills (the students could only post well thought out and well written comments), and open up a new world, a bigger world, for discovery. Blogging could become the new way to have penpals in different parts of the world. Some safe guards would have to be in place to allow only certain people access though. And students would have to be educated in blogging safety.
Blogging is a connection to the rest of the world.
